I have uninstall and reinstall Photoshop, but that doesn't work. I just don't know what to do.

Correct answer Ethereal_Sunflower98BC

It seems a permission issue with the registry key

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\Photoshop.exe

I suggest you  to contact Adobe technical support,

they may try to set the permission for you.

I have this same problem.  I cannot seem to update beyond Photoshop CC (2015).  I tried first to update to CC (2017), then downgraded my expectations and tried to update to (2015.5). Same problem. I am running Win 7 Enterprise.  I get the error 160.  (See below).  Other CC apps updated without problem.  (I updated Bridge and Audition to 2017 versions).  I am admin on my machine, and managed to delete the registry key mentioned (Photoshop.exe) after following advice in this and other posts.  HOWEVER, after subsequently trying to install again, installation stops again at 90% with error code 160.  Could someone please tell me whether this is a WIN 7 issue and perhaps not solveable??   The procedure of deleting the registry key for Photoshop.exe seems to work for others on later OS's, but not for me.   Have spent hours on this and exhausted myself looking for answers in this forum!  MANY THANKS for any insights!
