Can't update Premiere 9.0.0 to 9.1.0 on my laptop. Why not?

My laptop has Premiere version 9.0.0 and adobe creative manager says "all apps up to date."  But my mac pro has Premiere version 9.1.0, so I know it is NOT up to date.  I can't open a needed file on my laptop because it was saved with the newer version. Why can't I update Premiere on my laptop?

Well, I got this from my institution's IT guy:

"There was a problem with the installer we received from ****(institution)**** that doesn’t allow the software to be updated via the application manager.  The software works 100% normally, it’s just something goofy with the Adobe Application Manager that doesn’t actually see the update.  We have to actually install the 9.1 update directly and then going forward you can update normally."

I took in the laptop and this fixed the problem.

CC desktop lists applications as "Up to Date" when they are not

Interesting.  Will try.  But the link addresses issues when the app is not installed; I have version 9.0.0 installed and want to get 9.1.0 installed.  Also note I am on a mac, and the other link was for windows machines.
