Can you solve my Problems Installing Adobe Flash CS4 in Windows 8.1

I have just purchased a new laptop running Windows 8.1 and wanted to install Adobe CS4 Master Collection, which has run perfectly on Windows 7 for years. On the first installation disc, I get the following message. "Installation Error

Installation of the following components has failed:

Adobe Flash CS4

To continue installing the remaining options, click Continue.

To cancel this installation, click Quit."

I have done some quick searches on google and on this forum and have not found a satisfactory explanation. I have de-activated the Anti-virus and Firewall software, but this has not changed anything. I know Windows 8 is different, but it seems strange that it cannot offer backwards compatibility for such a market leading tool as Adobe Flash.

Any ideas?

It looks like the error was just related to Flash player which couldn't install from the CS4 disks, because it is pre-installed on Internet Explorer 11 which ships with Windows 8.1

I'm not sure how to close this question, but if a moderator reads this, could you please close the thread. Thanks, Eli
