cancel automatic yearly renewal of CC

Hi,

Anyone know how much notice you have to give if you wish to end your yearly subscription which is paid monthly? Can you canel right up to a month before the renewal?

    As noted by JSM above, you should be able to cancel it right up until the day before it renews.

     

    If you cancel an annual subscription before the final month begins, then a cancellation fee would likely apply.

    In my experience I have not been able to cancel an auto-renewal. I was sold 3 free months by a member of the adobe team on chat. They tied me into 12 months without explaining and here I am unable to stop it from renewing again in October without permission. Daylight robbery. Adobe be ashamed.

    I would be interested to know why it is not an option to turn off automatic renewals.

     

    It does feel a bit like Adobe do not have respect for their paying users. I can't think of a fair reason why I wouldn't be able to stop the auto-renewing of my 12 month subscription. Every other service I've subscribed to has allowed me to not auto-renew after the end of a contract.

     

    I do wish I didn't have to do it last minute and I worry that people could end up with a subscription they don't require if they are not able to be at a PC to cancel at the date of renewal. It feels like a deliberate attempt from Adobe to take advantage of people who might miss the oportunity to cancel, be it due to memory problems or unfortunate situations they might be in at the time. As users we should be able to stop the automatic renewal any time we like. It shouldn't take a cancellation fee because it is not cancelling the 12 month subscription but rather just choosing not to continue the subscription after the 12 month period.

        None, No notice that I have ever received.

         

        Put the date of the subscription renewal on your Smart Phone, Google, Apple/Mac/Me/whatever apple is not using, Microsoft Calendar and a reminder the day or 2 before it is scheduled to renew. Then when you get the reminder Cancel the subsctiption.
