Cannot Install Captivate 7

Hello, I downloaded Captivate 7 but after clicking install, it begins unpacking and then I get a message saying that it looks like a machine restart is pending and that I should quit the instalation.  I restarted the machine to be sure and tried again but the same message.  Second time I clicked "Ignore" but then got a message saying that Installation could not initialize.  It recommended downloading the Adobe Support software which I did.  However, the support software did not detect any problems.  Any suggestions?  Thanks!
