Cannot install Creative Cloud

Hello,

I'm running 12.0.1 Mac OS Monterey and I'm having trouble installing the creative cloud. I'm on a Macbook Pro with a M1 Pro chip.  When I download the .dmg and double click to install, nothing happens. Any suggestions?

SilverMac, are you using the process listed in https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/download-install-app.html to begin the installation process?  What else has been done to this MacBook Pro?  Did you install any other applications or migrate any files from a previous computer?

Yes, I'm using the process above. When I double-click 'install' nothing happens. I've only downloaded Google Chrome so far on this computer and have not migrated any other files.

I do notice that when I examine the package and try to install via the terminal, I'm getting a rosetta error. So, perhaps this is a rosetta problem?

Thanks for the update, SilverMac. I am pleased to hear that the Migration Assistant was not involved in the setup process. It dramatically reduces the possibility of unexpected behavior or sync errors on the new computer. Of course, you can still use the Migration Assitant to move over any documents and settings if you choose to do so at a later time.

To complete the download and installation process, Rosetta 2 will need to be installed and functioning. What error message did you see in Terminal, SilverMac?

The community discussion links to several related resources for using Adobe applications on M1 computers.
