Hi,

Having issues launching Photoshop, no success with the fixes I've looked up. FYI, this has been working fine for the past month that I've had the paid subscription

Error Message:

could not initialize photoshop because of a program error

Attempts to fix:

Relaunching while holding down Alt+Ctrl+Shift (error still appears)

Updated PS from the CC window (now showing version 2015.5)

Rebooted PC

There are also comments about resetting preferences - but I cannot do so because I'm unable to access PS in the first place !

I'm running Windows 10 OS.

Did you tried resetting Preference files ?  Also you may try Deleting Photoshop Preferences files and then uninstall and reinstall Photoshop  .

Try below link to contact Adobe Support :

[ Click on Still need Help button and select Chat option ]

    Contact Customer Care

    Preferences location :

Press Windows button (located between Ctrl and Alt buttons) along with R button together at a time , you will get a run command window.

Type in below command and hit 'Enter' key.

    %Appdata%

    It will open Roaming folder.

Then navigate to Adobe > Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 > General settings.

Sign out form creative cloud app,

    restart your computer

Launch Photoshop, you will be asked so sign back in.

Let us know if that helps

This does not fix the problem.

How do I get in touch with Adobe staff ? It seems they bury the communication methods, and the chat does not wok for me.

Im paying for this licence and I need a fix ASAP for time-critical projects.
