Cannot Uncheck "Show Notifications" in Creative Cloud Desktop App General Panel

On the General Panel of the Creative Cloud Desktop App there is an option to check or uncheck Show Notifications. If I remove the check mark and then relaunch the CC Desktop App the option is checked again. I can, on the other hand, check or uncheck the OS notifications in the other panels. Those changes persist from relaunch to relaunch. Any ideas what might be causing this behavior?
