Cannot update Lightroom cc 7.5 to version 8

I have LIghtroom CC 2018 version 7.5, and I am trying to update it to the new version 8, and it does not happen. I have tried everything, I have logged out and logged back in again. I have tried updating from Adobe Creative Cloud, also from within Lightroom. I have uninstalled Lighroom and tried to reinstall it, but it only installs back to version 7.5. I have also deleted the opm.db file and uninstalled everything and reinstalled, and still no lightroom update to version 8.

I have windows 8.1 64bit operating system, would this be the cause of it not installing?

Please can someone let me know as I have tried searching everywhere with no luck so far.

Thanks

Punil

Lightroom 8 doesn't support Windows 8.1

Here you'll find the appropriate informations: Lightroom Classic CC system requirements

If you want to use Lightroom 8 you have to update your operating system to Windows 10.

Me too. Stupid decision of Adobe. Microsoft will stop support of Windows 8,1 at January 2023 . The support of Windows 7 will stop 3 years before and still supported by Adobe. Are they insane at Adobe..

For many users Windows 7 and 10 is not an option.

I hope there is a workaround to let Lightroom 8 work at Windows 8.1
