Cant download apps because it says there's not enough disk space but there is

I've changed the install location to install photoshop from my local disk (C) to my external hard drive (D) there is 879 GB free on the hard drive. Yet i still get the error code 120. Can anyone help?

What is the free space situation on disk C:? Even with changing to D:, you still may need free space on C: for temporary files.
