Cant finalize LR6 Standalone Instalation

I have been through some of the previous forum questions, but cant find the correct answers to my question.

I have bought and paid for a multi licence LR6 standalone in 2015 and installed it on my PC. I have a new laptop and want to install LR6 stand alone. I have downloaded Lightroom 6 LS11 but when I go through the process of installing, something is going wrong. I get to the section where I have to insert my licence but I get an error message saying "The licence is correct, but the product isn't on the computer, please choose a relevant product", and of course LR6 is not listed.

Well it isn't on the computer because I am trying to install it.

HELP - What am I doing wrong?

    Hi Abdurbs,

    As you have mentioned that you have encountered this error  "The license is correct, but the product isn't on the computer, please choose a relevant product", after entring the serial number, it seems that you are trying to install an upgrade version or Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 6 and the installer is looking for the qualifying serial number. I would request you to follow the steps mentioned on this link: - Error: "This serial number is not for a qualifying product" | Adobe Creative Suite.
