Captivate 5.5 reinstall

I have a purchased, registered boxed copy of Captivate 5.5 that I am trying to reinstall on a Windows XP system.

System does not "read" the installation disc. Do I need to download this software directly from Adobe now, using my serial number?

    Hi Dan,

    1. Open the link below and sign in using your Adobe ID and password.

    2. Next, open the link below in a new tab and save the file.

Use a file extractor like WinRAR to extract the downloaded file. Run the Setup.exe file to install.

see if you can copy the disc contents to a desktop directory.

if you can, install by clicking setup.

if you cannot, download and install:

Cannot copy files, as disk is not readable.

Went to the link below, but it is not clear how to download Captivate 5.5.

What am I missing on the page?
