CC 2019 Changes that affect VDI
Hello
My name is Don Jones and I am emailing to ask for a change. I do not sell hardware or software, but work with K-12 schools in SC and NC providing services
to help their IT staff in supporting their students and staff. Over the past 3 years we have been trying to come up with a way to save school districts money
and give them more options for their students. We were doing this by virtualizing the computer labs that students have to use for applications such as Adobe CC products.
It cost schools districts typically $30,000 or more per computer lab to run software such as yours. Many school districts use Chromebooks in a 1 to 1 fashion and typically what would happen is a student would have to close their Chromebook to then logon to a windows computer then go back to their Chromebook. We wanted to provide them a solution that would save them considerable money for not needing to purchasing individual computers for their labs and allow the students to use their Chromebooks as the endpoint to the virtual solution.
Now after 3 years of working on this and schools really wanting to do this, you have changed your CC2019 product that totally prevents that environment from working.
I know you all are a huge company and can do as you want, but you need to consider your decisions. It may make it easier to manage your licensing by doing this, but you are hurting your customers. Schools struggle enough with not having enough money and now their options are limited.
Please reconsider your licensing model and product changes that has caused this issue, at least for K-12.
Thank you
Don Jones
