CC APPs for Windows 8.1 not available

Hi,

I had to reinstall my CC APPs running Windows 8.1. because I stucked in a Log-In- Loop In Premiere Pro.

Now the BIG Problem: I cannot install older versions of CC Apps because the Creative Cloud Client does not give me that option. I´ve done everything that the german Adobe Support told me. Their statement on the problem was that e.g. Premiere Pro CC 12.1.2 is not available at the moment. There does not exist any download link or update at the moment and they had to check it with Adobe USA which can take several days.

Does anyone (maybe from adobe) can help me? I already installed Premiere Pro CC 12.0.0 but the CC Client always indicates that this version is the latest version.

Thanks in advance,

Frieder

Old versions are no longer available https://community.adobe.com/t5/Premiere-Pro/FAQ-Prior-major-releases-of-Premiere-Audition-Prelude-and-AME/td-p/9479508

As far as I know, Win8.1 is no longer supported

Hi John,

the Version 13 an 14 of Premiere Pro is supportet only by Windows 10.

I can download Version 12.0.0 from the Adobe website but I cannot update it to 12.1.2. in the CC Client tool.

According to my understanding of Adobe, there is no obligation to use the new Apps 13 and 14. As you can see on the website:

"OS doesn't meet the requirements? You can use version 4.9 of the Creative Cloud desktop app on operating systems as early as Windows 7 or Mac OS X v10.9. "

KFRise, you are correct you can continue to use Windows 8.1, but you will find that you may not have access to all of the applications and services included with your membership.

You can find more information about the removal of Windows 8.1 support at https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/windows-8-1-compatability.html.  This help document was created in 2016, but it does include a link to a version of the Creative Cloud desktop app/Adobe Application Manager that may work under Windows 8.1.

I would second John's advice that you move forward to Windows 10.  Most hardware that could run Windows 8.1 should be able to run Windows 10.

Finally, you can find more information regarding the current Adobe applications that are available through your membership at https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/download-availability.html.  Many of the software titles that worked with Windows 8.1 are no longer available.
