CC Apps Tab not detecting Various Apps and Now Says Install instead of Update

Annoyingly, As mentioned in the Title,

The CC app has many apps iv'e installed but they are not detected.

I've have PS, AI, ID and DW installed on my system however the Apps panel all says "Install" rather than "Update".

I tried just installing PS hoping it would be smart enough to remember my settings etc.. It did not AND i now have 2 version on my machine.

I searched and tried the renaming of the .db file, but that did nothing.

Is there another solution or do i just need to reinstall everything again.

Please help.

Cheers

Correct answer James___RT

The above installation instructions does not help. I tried them all.

I did however find the solution. It has to do with the CC app installing some apps under different languages.

Half my apps seemed to be under English US and the others were English International.

Solution: Set CC app language to English International, Remove all the apps that said Install, that the cc app did not pick up, and then reinstall them as English International apps.

If it sounds crazy and doesn't make sense, that because it doesn't. BUT that worked.

Interestingly i didn't ever change the app language, so i'm not sure why there was this incompatibility in the first place. Or the fact that there is no option to relink an install to the CC app to be able to just straight update it without the need to uninstall.

Hopefully someone finds this post interesting enough to create a "fix" . Thanks.

Thanks for a possible solution, James. I know this post is old now but I have the same problem and it is driving me crazy. Two different Adobe reps were no help. I will look into your solution.
