Hi all,

It's been since the release of photoshop 14.2.1 that the dektop app keeps on asking me to update Photoshop even though the software has been updated (succesfully) straight away.

Why is this happnening and how can I stop it?

I'm using a 2013 MBP retina with the latest mavericks.

Thank you everyone!

Dan Campagne please rename the C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\Adobe\AAMUpdater\1.0 folder to ~1.0.  This should rebuild the list of available updates and allow the fact that you have previously applied the update to be retained.

Dan if you can please respond back with the results it would be appreciated.

Can you please be more specific about what it's saying?  Screen grabs would be helpful.

Is it asking you to update the Creative Cloud application itself, or is it implying that various components need updating?

What do you see in the various Creative Cloud screens, e.g.,

Hi Noel,

Thanks a lot for taking the time to answer.

The CC desktop app behaves like photoshop isnt updated yet, even though it is:

At first I just thought that the update process was unsuccesfull an so I kept on updating like it shows in the activity tab:

Photoshop is working just fine its just that is annoying having this notifications popping up with no reason.

Hope this gives a better idea of what's happening.

That sure does look like the updater has gotten out of sync with itself.  Have you made any manual changes to files in the Photoshop installation package area?

It may be - and I'm not suggesting that it's right that you should have to do this - that you will need to do a full uninstall followed by a reinstall and update in order to get past these inappropriate announcements.
