Question

CC desktop app still 'damaged' and 'missing' after CC Cleaner/reboot. Won't get rid of "Fix Host File"

Hi!

I can't solve the problem many are having solved by the CC Cleaner.

This is what i do every time:

- Uninstall everything from Adobe

- Reboot

- CC Cleaner (Where "Fix Host File" and "Adobe Id Credentials" are listed. Won't get rid "Fix Host File", it just says "'0' entries were fixed." when i clean it. I don't know if this is ok?)

- Reboot

- Install CC desktop app

Same message:

"Adobe Creative Cloud, needed to resolve the problem, is missing or damaged. You can try to repair to fix the issue. If the problem persists, download & install the new copy from 'http://www.adobe.com/go/adobecreativecloudapp'."

and "Repair is failing due to some error. "

What can i do?

Hope you can help me.

uninstall everything cc including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html

then uninstall the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html

clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

restart your computer (don't skip this)

reinstall the cc desktop app, https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud.

if you're unable to install the cc desktop app at this stage, use an administrator account (solution 4 here, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-missing-damaged.html)

use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials
