CC update (2017) stalls at 71%

I am running this on an iMac running Sierra 10.12.2

I followed every step suggested in the forum thus far-

Renamed folders in application support (~library)

Quit all adobe services (application manager

Uninstalled and reinstalled CC app (THREE TIMES!)

Took four hours to uninstall CC (it just does not want to uninstall)

Changed network settings to from passive to direct...

turned off all extras (virus software, etc.

Booted in ROOT...

CC cleaner no longer works on OS 10.12.2… so please don't suggest this- it does not work.

Anyone find a solution to this problem? OR know of anyone working on adobe alternatives?

Hi Kid%20kyote,

As you have mentioned that you are not able to update the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app to latest version and you did perform certain basic troubleshooting steps to resolve it, however you are still having trouble doing that, i would recommend you to try the steps given in following thread and perform a manual cleanup of CC desktop app from your machine: illustrator reinstalling free trial 1 day old!  (Please ignore the steps that do not imply to Mac OS Sierra)

To reinstall Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app follow the steps given here: Installing Creative Cloud on macOS 10.12 (Sierra).

Let us know if this works.

No luck.

I followed the directions twice—

I was able to install a program not already installed on my system- muse 2017… but could not update any installed programs.

I uninstalled after effects, and then tried to install it and it is hanging at 71% again…

I have been looking for an answer to this problem for two years.

are there direct links to UPDATES?  that would be ideal since CC desktop app is apparently not working and hasn't worked properly for many years now.
