CC update to Photoshop CS6 fails

I pay the Adobe CC tithe but also keep a copy of CS6 installed.

I do have need to use the older 32 bit version of Photoshop at times.

The updater constantly fails to install CS6 updates, manually installing the updates fails and uninstalling/reinstalling the program did not work either (another Adobe inspired waste of time non-solution: it would be the rare long term user who can not cite a similar experience).

Is there a solution or live with it now than I am paying a subscription for a program with chronic quality control problems and a strange attitude toward customers rather than buying yearly updates for the same privilege?

The "new" features in CS6 are not vital but I am paying monthly for them whether I can get access to them or not so it is kind of annoying to get the same error every time I boot the computer and the CC updater offers to fail to install updates yet again.

Lest anyone be deluded that Adobe cares about the user experience let them see what Bridge CC looks like on a 4k monitor in Windows 10 in the year 2016 AD.

Aside from maintenance updates and camera support (via Camera Raw) before it was discontinued, CS6 wasn't getting any new features. Any particular reason why you would need CS6 when you have CC?

I'm assuming you've tried the CC Cleaner Tool?

Use the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems

Adobe is working towards continued development on Bridge CC. Nobody knows when that will be but it certainly hasn't been forgotten.
