Question

CC why don't updates overwrite the previous file?

For years now I have had to go in and manually delete the previous Adobe files to permit updates to download. This on Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere Pro. Even when I am running an up-to-date OS. It's a right pain in the arse. Are there any plans to permanently fix this?

You don't need to delete old versions for new versions to be installed if you have enough disk space, but there is a setting in the CC App that will delete old versions when new versions are installed.

Hi Bob, thanks for that. The last time I went to open Ps it wasn't in my CC Installed Apps where I left it. Error 121 I think. It was below under Available in your subscription. I clicked it and it failed. I checked for Windows updates and there were none (this had foxed me previously) so I went to the file and deleted it. After that it downloaded. My beef is that this carrys on year in year out and Adobe doesn't seem to grip it. Simon
