checking validity of download with CRC hash code?

I just asked this question on your site, however, here it is again:  Why don't you provide a CRC hash code with your downloads, such as Lightroom 4.2 which I just downloaded, so I can verify the validity of the downloaded file?

    Depending on what you are downloading this is handled by our Download Managers.  In the case of Lightroom the decision was made to only offer the direct download option.
