Cloning settings between CC and CC 2014

As Adobe have decided to release their new version of CC as a completely separate app, for what reason I cannot fathom.

This means I need to go through the pain of configuring my workspace, presets & plugins again.

Is there a way to do this seamlessly?

Also, I liked CC when updates we just that, updates, are adobe back tracking to their previous business model?

By doing this they're creating work for their customers. I have to manually move all my stuff across to the 2014 versions, and then remove all the CC versions. This is nearly a day of messing around! Really quite unnecessary.
