College alumnus wants to install CC with his still-active college email

I'm currently looking to subscribe and install CC for animation work using the Student Discount for budgetary reasons. However, I have long since graduated college which supposedly makes me ineligible. But I've discovered that my college email account remains active as an alumnus. Will that be enough for me to qualify and, if it is, will I still be accepted if I renew my subscription?
