Hello, I work for a large Company whom owns a copy of Adobe Creative Suite 4, and has purchased the upgrade version of CS5.  When I try to install the upgrade, the provided Serial Number will not be accepted.  After speaking with our Company's IT Manager, he has asked me to investigate and get this upgrade operational.

Operating System:

Windows 7, Service Pack 1

Intel Core i5, plenty of RAM

current version of Adobe CS4 running fine.

Kind regards,

Andrew

When was the CS5 upgrade purchased and where from?

Adobe has not sold CS5 for over 2 years.

Hi Walter, as our IT Manager didn't purchase the license himself, it is hard to say..

It looks like it could be 2 years old, however I don't see why I shouldn't be able to upgrade our CS4 package just because it's an old upgrade?

You're right. An upgrade can be installed at any time regardless of age.

What I was getting at was if you'd recently purchased the CS5 upgrade then it might have been a fake since you could not have bought it from Adobe.

Since it's 2 years old, it's probably genuine and you'll have to contact Adobe direct to sort out why the CS5 upgrade is not accepting the CS4 serial number.
