Company owned package; new employee; old employee gone; transfer permissions to new employee

I've been able to use the company's CS5 package, but something my predecessor did when she installed the package is keeping me from making changes that seem to be administrative type changes. For example, if I want to rename a folder or delete it, I will get a reply back that says that a cannot do it because I do not have sufficient permissions or it is in use. The item is not in use so that is not the problem.
