Configuration Error 1 After Upgrading to macOS Sierra (Illustrator)
Hi everyone,
After I upgraded to macOS Sierra, some of my Adobe Software started crashing. Adobe Acrobat XI opens but stops unexpectedly after a few seconds. But most notably, Illustrator doesn't start at all. I get the Configuration Error message (Error 1) and it suggests uninstalling and reinstalling the software (which doesn't help).
I've tried changing the permissions for the SLStore and Adobe PCD folders. And indeed, the permissions for Adobe PCD were set to read only for the admin.
Sadly, changing the permissions didn't help. I get the same error message. Also, once I reinstall the software, the permissions change back to read only.
This happened right after upgrading to macOS Sierra. I have no backup so downgrading to El Capitan is not an option.
Please help, the standard workaround didn't work for me, and I need Illustrator to survive.
(I use a Macbook Pro; Retina Display 13; late 2015; Processor 2,7 GHz Intel Core i5; Memory 8 GB 1867 MHz DDR3)
