Question

Correct Directory for CC Apps Download?

Hi,

I am currently installing a new version of CC Desktop on my Mac after deleting the old one and deleting all the installed Apps.

By mistake, I set the directory path for downloading all Apps (which I have yet to do from scratch) to my Creative Cloud Files folder (for syncing my work) oops.. as at the time, I was trying to re-set my CC Folder path for syncing, I just clicked the wrong tab as was tired..

I went back to preferences for installing Apps but couldn't see how to re-set it to 'Default'? So instead, I have set the path for App d-loads to 'My Account/Applications'. The 'Applications' Folder on the Mac.

Will this work OK? Or do I have to re-set it to something else?

Thanks

There is NO Reset to Default option. You have to do it manually. The Default path for the Cloud Sync folder for OS X is.

Macintosh HD/Users/YourUserName/Creative Cloud Files

You set that on the CC DTA in the Preferecnes on the Sync section.

Hi Just Shoot Me,

Thnks for your reply 🙂

I had the 'Creative Cloud Files' folder set fine, it was the 'App' download directory I was concerned about as I changed this by mistake when I was planning on changing the CC Files folder. 😉 The CC Files folder is as you stated above.

Anyways, I had it set to Users/MyName/Applications and it worked just fine.

Yeah Sorry I misinterpreted what you had chnaged. But with Mac the only place that I know where Application can be installed to, and work properly, is the Applications folder on the ROOT of the Macintosh HD. I figured any Mac user would know that.

Glad you got it straightened out.
