Could buying an older iMac become an issue working with Adobe Software?

I would like to buy a 2011 iMac and upgrade the parts inside. To my understanding, the latest macOS, Mojave, which came out about a year ago, cannot be downloaded onto anything before 2012 in the apple lineup. What potential issues could this cause for me when working with the Adobe software?

What system life do you plan for? You can expect new versions to be dropping old versions of macOS regularly. Apple are pushing this very hard. Within 2 years in MIGHT be dead. However we have no inside knowledge.

Thanks for the feedback John. This brings 2 questions to mind: For Photoshop's requirements in the OS, it says Sierra (10.12) High Sierra(10.13), and Mojave(10.14) all work with that program. Does Mojave have any advantage over the others? How long before Mojave and beyond are required to operate Photoshop? You can ballpark the second question if you feel confident you are able to do so.

There wont be any issues if the System requirements are met . However , the only possible issue which might come up in the future is when newer version of Adobe software requires Mac OS Mojave as min requirement. That time you may face some compatibility issues.

But if the current Adobe Software which you are purchasing can run in Sierra or High Seirra. You can go ahead and get the Macbook 2011 make.

Yes ofcourse, there is differences between different Mac OS which we can check out on Apple or other websites. But if the OS is latest version , there will improovement in lot of features which run installed Softwares more efficiently.
