Could you please assist me in accessing and reinstalling the legacy Photoshop 21/22 version that I was previously entitled to use through my subscription?

My computer does not meet the system requirements for newer versions of Photoshop, and I am unable to upgrade it at present. I previously had Photoshop 21/22 installed through my Adobe subscription, and it was working correctly. However, I had to remove the software and am now unable to reinstall it.

Could you please assist me in accessing and reinstalling the legacy Photoshop 21/22 version that I was previously entitled to use through my subscription?

It’s possible that they can provide you with a download link to version 22, which used to be available in the CC app until about a year or two ago. V22 stayed available that long because it was the last version with stable support for 3D and the now deprecated OpenGL framework.

Open a chat window, and type “agent” to bypass the initial AI chatbot. Explain your situation and ask nicely.

Note that I don’t know if they will still do this. But it’s the only option you have at this point, aside from using the web app.

    @Stan Mansas

do you have a teams or enterprise subscription?

    if not:

you can install the latest and 1 version prior versions using the cc desktop app. you must have a subscription because previous versions are not available with trials. other versions are revealed after clicking file preferences>apps>tick show older apps (at panel bottom).

unfortunately, other versions are no longer available via adobe.

    Hi @Stan Mansas

Thank you for posting in the community. We understand that you previously used an older version of Photoshop that was compatible with your computer and would like to reinstall it.

Adobe generally provides access to the current and immediately preceding versions of Creative Cloud apps. Older versions may no longer be available for installation through the Creative Cloud desktop app.

You can find more information about Adobe's Creative Cloud version availability and support policy here:

    Adobe's Creative Cloud Support Policy

You can also review the steps for installing available previous versions here:

    Thank you for your understanding.

Hey,  thanks.  I just followed the steps in the instructions and there’s no “Older Verions’ for PS.  LR on the other hand has this option which is good to know.  Thanks for your help.  I write to Adobee direct.  Cheers

Great news 😁,  I conacted as you suggested and they still do this, I explained my situtation and sent me a link which will be active for 24 hours.  Thanks everyone, I’m hoping the install goes smoothly.  Cheers

@Stan Mansas you could use Photoshop on the web if you still have an active subscription — I used to use it when I was on a late MacBook 2013 and only could use Photoshop 2024, until I finally upgraded this year to a new MacBook Pro M5 Max.

Photshop 2021 and 2022? I would suggest posting this ‘request’ in the ‘Download & Install’ forum as you would have better success from that team who monitors that forum https://community.adobe.com/download-install-615

Thanks for your advice. I do have a subscription and use the web version, which I have access to. I also have an older PC and prefer the desktop versions of Photoshop and Lightroom. Unfortunately, I had to remove Photoshop 2024 and, at the moment, I can’t seem to get it back.

    Thanks again for your help.
