I am a pretty basic designer, and I do mainly party flyers, but I want to take it to a much more advanced level, and I can't find any matching course... I am not looking for a course for making party flyers obviously, But something that can help, like photo manipulation and unfortunately I don't know what else to call it other than Digital Art. Any suggestions for any free course?

BTW I am looking to learn something like this

There are also Creative Professional courses on Pluralsight.com. You can get a free trial for 10 days/200 hours.

My course, Illustrator CC Creating a Poster, might help--although it's for Illustrator and not Photoshop. However, there are other courses for Adobe products and creative techniques you could try.

I got into Photoshop art by watching Outstar [then OutstarWalker] paint on twitch... Linda is good for teaching you about the tools but art is not the same thing

If you are looking for specific things to learn then.  YouTube is amazing for tutorials.

One guy that I follow is PIXimperfect.  I have not watched all of his videos.... but the ones I have are brilliant.

Adobe Generation Professional and the Adobe Education Exchange offers free courses.

Also YouTube is full of tutorials.  Some artists also share their process or workflow on their Behance pages.

Then there are tutorials all over the web......  So Google can be a good friend.

Lynda.com also has a wealth of tutorials and even LinkedIn when you go premium.  Also look for courses where you live.  Or if you know an artist in your area, ask them to give you a lesson.

Linda.com is now owned by Linkedin which is owned by Microsoft!  In the USA, many public libraries offer access to Linda.com courses at no cost to card holders.  My local library is one of them.

This looks like an old thread re-activated but The Photoshop Training Channel has lots of video demos showing tips and tricks. Jesús Ramirez is a really good teacher.

Is there any courses you can recommend to master Photoshop? Photo Manipulation and Graphic design mainly. I have subscribed to Lynda.

For photo manipulation you might also look into Phlearn. I think what Nancy is saying is that the world of Photoshop and graphic design can be quite broad and while we can all try to give suggestions, it's difficult to do so without really knowing what you are trying to do. If your goal is to master Photoshop, I would say your best bet is to just do whichever tutorials you can get your hands on. A large part of mastering a program is spending time with it and even reviewing things you already know!

Lynda.com IS a great resource, but like Nancy has mentioned, there are a ton of other resources out there. I think in order to do what you are trying to do, your best bet is to soak up as knowledge as you can and then apply that newfound knowledge in your own way. That means not necessarily only watching tutorials about making flyers, but others as well!

Ofcourse I watched much more tutorials, the thing is I don't know what to search, as I don't know what it's all called. Thats why I came here so everybody can help me on searching the stuff I'm looking for.

It's hard for us to guess what you're looking for.  You need to tell us what you want to do that you cannot already do in PS.

There are as many ways to manipulate photos as there are colors.  It all depends on what you want to do.  For example, a Google search for Photoshop Retouching brings up a lot of free tutorials on color adjustments, smoothing skin, removing blemishes, adding complimentary colors, etc...

You can't start with designs like that! You first need to learn the basics. I've looked into the start of that so called tutorial and I found that I could do that, because I know the tools. A correct tutorial would explain step by step the tool to use and why using this tool.

You need to look either on Adobe TV or YouTube or Vimeo or similar for free tutorials or you buy the Lynda.com (linkedin learning) courses. As you correctly said, there are thousands of courses on Lynda.com, but all have a certain level and are treating different aspects of the software. After watching several hours and trying out the exercises, you will be able to create exceptional artwork.

BTW: I found it easier to create my own style then to copy someone others style. I normally take inspiration from the great artists, but I won't try to recreate their art.

However there are a lot of good tutorials around to show you how to create bevels on text and graphics, to blend layers and to deform geometries. You shouldn't try to do the big picture but first learn the small steps.

I am not looking to do the same exact design, but I need to learn how to do design for party flyers better, do you have any courses on Lynda you think can help me? I have quite a bit of experience with PS, I will provide you with some designs I made.

I agree. I think Lynda.com is one of the best training sites out there. It's not free, but it is really reasonable.

Have you tried a search on google for your topic? I typed in photo manipulation tutorials and there were quite a number of options.

I've also found some really great FREE training right on Adobe's site. It has videos on how to use tools, create looks, etc. Check out the following link:
