Creative Cloud app always starts at Mac startup

In the Creative Cloud app preferences, Launch Creative Cloud At Login is OFF and Always Keep Creative Cloud Up To date is OFF...

I don't use cloud storage, so there are no files to sync

Yet ever since the last-but-one update, the Creative Cloud app starts every time I boot my Mac.

How can I stop this happening? Is there a preferences file I can trash to reset CC to NOT start every time I boot my Mac?

It's starting to drive me crazy.
