Hi. I'm trying to install an app that I haven't used before, but Adobe is insisting on permissions to make changes. What changes would those be? I just want to make sure my work doesn't start getting moved into the cloud again.

Installing software is making changes to your hard drive. For security reasons, you are asked if you approve of those changes. If you decline, the software installation will not take place.

are you using a mac and it's your mac asking for permission?

if you're not certain copy and paste here (don't attach) a screenshot showing the permissions prompt.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
