Question

Creative Cloud constantly opens file explorer/pathfinder automatically

I have a PC and a laptop. Two days ago i downloaded a trial of Photoshop CC 2019 and creative cloud, and ever since, pathfinders have been opening no matter what I'm doing. Even when neither photoshop nor creative cloud is open.

I use my laptop for school work only, and since we get a subscription for Photoshop there for free, I have Photoshop and Creative cloud there as well. The same issue is happening on my laptop. It constantly opens pathfinders until it caps out at about 11 of them, with intervals of about a minute. The reason why i think it's creative cloud that's doing this is, that it started on both my laptop and PC the day that i installed it. It was also on seperate days.

What can i do to fix this?

uninstall everything cc including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html

then uninstall the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html

clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

restart your computer (don't skip this)

reinstall the cc desktop app, https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud.

if you're unable to install the cc desktop app at this stage, use an administrator account (solution 4 here, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-missing-damaged.html)

use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials
