Creative Cloud DAS (Document Automation Services)

Looking through the support forums to get questions answered it is clear there is a need for some ability to automate document production but there is not an available solution from Adobe to fill this need. So I have a idea/suggestion (a pitch really) for you:

Introducing! CC Document Automation Services (DAS) - a fee based offering from (hopefully) Adobe which provides RESTful services for automating end to end delivery of your content. Your DAS Services are established and provided as part of your CC subscription with monthly billing of all services based on usage (fee schedule is TBD). DAS integrates with the most popular online cloud storage providers (Dropbox, OneDrive, Box and Google drive) to let you tap into your current content sources and assemble your final product automatically.  DAS is not a replacement for the on-prem InDesign CC Server but does offer many of the same services through the cloud subscription model.  DAS is managed through a control panel in your CC subscription and automation is defined in an easy to use drag and drop interface.

Example uses of DAS:

• Automate the combining of Word / PDFs into a single document PDF
• Route documents for review/editing
• Send documents for approval / e-signature
• Provide alerts when documents are available
• Create on-demand content based on user requests
