Creative Cloud desktop app wouldn't open and now has disappeared after failed attempts to redownload/uninstall
So my Creative Cloud desktop app hadn't been opening for me for several days. I tried to get it to open today to sync some fonts, and when it still wouldn't, I tried to download it again. I have now tried to redownload and uninstall it multiple times, but each time it won't let me do either. Now, the app has disappeared and the system won't let me download it because it says the app is still running somewhere. I checked in Task manager but I can't find where the app is still running. I have tried to reboot my computer several times and it doesn't work. When I try to reinstall the desktop app, I get the error message "Another version of Creative Cloud desktop is currently running. To continue, please quit that instance, then click retry. (error code: P86)" I have previously looked up that error code and tried to resolve it using the steps Adobe gave, but it didn't work.
Hard as I try, I can't find the instance where the other version is running. Plus, the CC desktop app has completely disappeared pretty much everywhere: it's not on my desktop or taskbar and I can't find it in task manager.
Where can I go to find this mysterious "other version" and get rid of it so I can download the desktop app again?
Thanks in advance you guys. I'm utterly lost with this issue and look forward to the solutions you all have to offer.
