Question

Creative Cloud Desktop flashing mouse cursor

I have a Creative Cloud for Acrobat DC subscription through my employer.  When I reboot my Windows 10 2004 laptop, the mouse incessantly flashes the wait cursor (blue circle) for maybe the first hour after a boot.

I tracked this down to the Acrobat Creative Cloud Desktop application.

When I double-click on the tray icon (which is greyed out), I just get a white box that says "Creative Cloud Desktop" at the top.  Closing it just puts it back in the tray and the mouse cursor continues flashing.

If I go to task manager and go to "Creative Cloud Desktop" in the background processes list, it's using about 10% of the CPU.  If I kill it, the flashing immediately stops.

Here is why I am reporting this now: I just received a new laptop, and have now installed Acrobat and Creative Clou (which comes with it).

It does EXACTLY the same thing!  The Creative Cloud Desktop app is a white box and I have to kill it to get the mouse cursor to stop flashing.

I've searched and see no other reports of this problem.  I also have a personal Creative Cloud subscription that includes everything, and don't have this issue on my personal computer.

Fortuantely, Acrobat DC is still working.  I'm not sure why I needed Creative Cloud Desktop, but hopefully uninstalling it won't cause problems.

Do I need desktop?  And is there a fix for this supremely annoying behavior?

How to disable a program in Windows startup
-Click the 'window pane' in the very bottom left corner of the Windows desktop
-Select * Settings
-Select Apps
-Select Startup
-Select/toggle the program you want to disable/enable
-BE VERY CAREFUL WHAT YOU DISABLE SO YOU DON'T STOP WINDOWS FROM RUNNING

Thanks! I actually did this a few months back on my old laptop but it came back, maybe after an auto-update. Creative Cloud Desktop is uninstalled right now but if it turns out to be required for licensing, I'll remember your tip.
