Creative Cloud Desktop, LR, PS: Install, Init and Start failes

  • LR and PS did work properly since many years
  • Nov24: not able anymore to upgrade via CCD creative cloud desktop, but ps and lr still working fine
  • Last week: start to get adobe support:
    • 1st thing was a "clean up" by adobe engineer, resulted  in the de-install of ps and lr
    • Hence not able to use the tools anymore
    • Many ideas and tries to get that running again, WITHOUT ANY RESULT at the end, till now
  • Got links to ps and lr install package
    • Download was fine
    • Install did not work in both cases, no error code provided
    • Same for an Indesign package
  • 5  sessions with 7 Adobe specialists
    • Complete de-install of all adobe on my pc
    • Re-name of folders
    • Clean-up usr and pwd stored on my pc
    • Registry cleanup, removed all adobe entries
    • VB C++ checked, repaired, re-installed

 

  • I have installed an older version of lr (V3.2) --> able to do a very minimum of photo workflow, but cannot read my RAWs
  • Tried another LR6, this does not work

 

  • did not solve the problem!
  • Re-set my pc to factory status is NO OPTION, but is now recommended by Adobe. I would then re-think my software choices and workflow completely, w/o adobe.

 

I have now started to get the Canon dpp4 working, Evalautin Luminar, Capture one etc.

 

 

Who has an idea how to proceed?

Update und Schlussbericht.

Nach fast 20 Sessions habe ich nunmehr mein Abo gekündigt. Sie sind nicht in der Lage, die SW ans Laufen zu bringen. Hat wohl auch was mit win11 zu tun. Die Probleme mit ACCD begannen zur Zeit der 24H2 Upgrades.

Für mich sieht es so aus, dass installs und inits an Kontrolle und Freigabe Lizenzen scheitern. Das ist scheinbar wichtiger als Funktionalität. Debuggen ist wohl bei ihnen ein Fremdwort.

Ich habe angefangen, meine Bearbeitungen mit Topas AI Photo durchzuführen. Erste Ergebnisse sind vielversprechend. Vereinfacht sogar meine Prozesse.

Just tried once again. Start is proceeding further but stops here as well

 

 I have looked around for any log or debug information around CCD, LR and PS. There is so much available, I don't understand why adobe experts are not able to analyse and find the causes for the issues.

We had another session today, not solution found.

Advice was to use another network as this must be the problem. I checked 4 other connections, does not solve.

 

CCD still freezing and ps installing with an error, w/o error number

 

I'm starting to get desperate.

reset the cc desktop app by making sure it's in the foreground, then press:

Win: Ctrl + Alt + R
Mac: Cmd + Opt + R


if that fails, repair per https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-install-stuck.html


if that fails and you have windows, open your control panel > add/remove programs > cc desktop app > repair

if that fails, uninstall using the correct uninstaller from https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html#sa_src=web-messaging and then reinstall using*


if that fails, do a clean cc install carefully following each applicable step:

uninstall every cc app including preferences per https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html

then uninstall the cc desktop app, again using the correct uninstaller per https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html#sa_src=web-messaging

clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

check for, and if available, update your os

if windows is your os, repair all ms visual c++ versions that can be repaired (use google if you don't know how to do this)

if windows is your os update your ms visual c++, if it can be updated (use google if you don't know how to do this)

restart your computer (don't skip this)

reinstall the cc desktop app using the "alternative download links" at the bottom of the page at https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-app-download.html

use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials>

if that fails, you probably have a corrupt user account. google your os and how to create a new one.
