Creative cloud draining battery, high fan levels and CPU. Also having to force quit

I work on a Macbook Pro, on the latest High Sierra, and when I am using creative cloud it drains my battery within one hour, and takes up most of the CPU. I also cant just close the applications, I have to force quit. This has been happening for about two weeks. I have uninstalled the software and reinstalled it, have done a macbook reset, spoken to Apple and ADobe. But still no closer.

Can anyone help, or is anyone else having the same issue?

Thanks!

Hi Stuart-I did. I called Apple support, we tried everything but it didn't work until we created a new user on the system. They transferred everything from my old user account to the new one and I haven't had a problem since. I then deleted the old user to make sure it didn't take up all my memory.

Hope this helps!

I have exactly the same problem. Did you ever get a solution? Late 2016 MacBook Pro running High Sierra and Adobe Desktop Service (ADS) sucks up significant amounts of processing and power whether or not any applications are open. When I have Photoshop and Illustrator open at the same time the drain is sometimes so bad that the battery will not charge and drain even when plugged in. I also have to force quit both Illustrator and Photoshop. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Creative Suite with only a slight improvement (ADS won't stop the computer charging on its own, which it did before). I also tried resetting the PRAM, etc., on the MAC OS side.
