Creative Cloud Error 205

Hello,

Yesterday I spent hours to be able to install the creative cloud application but was not successful due to 205 Error.

I am downloading the installer (which is 670 Kb or something) then when I run the installer I am getting the 205 error somewhere in the half of the progress.

I tried many times re-downloading and installing bu did not work.

I have went through all Adobe support discussions about the issue but nothing made it work.

I am using Windows 8, 64 bit Home edition. and connected to internet via my home Wi-Fi

I tried to reboot 3 times but did not resolve the issue.

I tried deactivating my security software's anti*virus and firewall (I am using McAfee) but it didn't work as well.

Whatever i did i can not install this Creative cloud.

Now i am subscribed to Photoshop and lightroom, bu can not install and use them.

I can not believe Adobe was not able to produce a working installation for creative cloud since this problem seems to go back at least for months for other people as well.

If anybody knows a way to overcome this issue your help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ali

Sam thanks for your answers but they didn't work for me.

I tried the direct link to Lighthouse but I learned that it's trial is not convertible to my subscription based license. (Trial version only asks for a serial key which is non existent for my monthly subscription)

Anyway I was trying to download the installer via Explorer and Chrome, yesterday I tried with mozilla and it magically worked.

I was able to install Lighthouse and photoshop afterwards though photoshop was not able to update a patch (I am wondering why i am needing a patch for a newly installed product but whatever)

So now I am able to use the products after two full days of trial and error, with no help from Adobe who in the first place produced this full of errors installer.

In the future I will try to avoid any Adobe product if I can help it.

Here is the FIX... I had the same problem as ALi and so many of you. After 12 hours trying everything I could find online I ultimately got a online chat with a pretty sharp Adobe tech via chat. He connected to my screen and tried all kinds of stuff that did not work until he gave me some backdoor link to directly download PS, LR, and bridge, They are huge files and it took some time to DL, extract, and install but I have them all. He was on my PC for two hours so it was not a quick fix but it is fixed. I know it sounds crazy but it is actually some sort of network issue. So, don't spend hours trying to figure it out yourself. Get a chat or call Adobe for the direct download and hope to get someone as good as I did.

I guess this error is causing due to some connectivity issues. The best way to install Creative Cloud desktop is, connect to different service provider and try installing.

In this meantime you may download the products directly using below link and access as an alternative method.

Thanks for your answers.

Actually I have already visited both of them yesterday. But,

For the first part: I dont believe that I have connectivity issues. I have a 100 Mbit fiber line and everything else is connecting smoothly and as a customer who paid for the products I dont want to install any trials and then have problems later regarding the license.

For the second part, that page only tells that there is an error 205 and does not offer any help at all.

I am sorry that you are facing the issues, Connectivity  issue are not only related to Internet Speed, it may can cause due to different reasons.

Second, there is no difference between trial version setup and full version. Both trial and full version uses same setup file, only the reason is trial version will expire after 30 days and full version will not. Most of the customers might have downloaded the trail version and converted it to full version instead of re downloading. Once you have downloaded file, while installing you will get two option try, and install. Install is for full version. Once you signed in with your email address. It will activate your product.
