I have tried all recommended solutions that I can find to reinstall the CC app

even including starting a new Root account.  It will still not install.  It was working perfectly until yesterday when it disappeared.

Randy in addition to Kglad's suggestions in message #1 I would recommend completing the steps listed in "Failed to install" error received when installing Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app .  If you have any questions regarding any of the listed steps then please do not hesitate to update this discussion.

Hi Jeff,

I am just off the phone with Adobe. There are issues with Mac 10.11.6 that they are able to do a 25 minute work around, but I am choosing to upgrade my OS to Sierra, and that should do the trick. Standby!

Thanks, Randy

we don't know what you already tried.  so,

use the uninstallers to uninstall your cc programs

run the cc uninstaller from here, Uninstall the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application to see if there's anything to uninstall

clean per Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems

restart your computer

reinstall the cc desktop app, https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud

Hi Jeff,

Well I have been trying this and it seems to not work. It all looks great, performs normally until I get to the reinstall, I double click it and nothing happens. When I go to my applications folder, the folder for Creative cloud is there. When I open the folder, the app and the uninstall are greyed out. If I click on them I get a message.. The operation can’t be completed because the original item for “Adobe Creative Cloud” can’t be found.

When I go to my apps under Launchpad, I have a greyed out app called: Adobe Creative Cloud_3.8.0.310 (other) When I click this nothing happens.

Any other ideas? I am wondering about reinstalling my operating system. I’m due to upgrade it to Sierra. ??

Thanks,

Randy
