Creative cloud hasn't installed properly but it won't let me uninstall now either

Attempted to install Creative Cloud this week from adobe.com onto my Mac (13" powerbook retina - basically brand new) running Yosemite 10.10.1

Unfortunately it didn't install properly, and now it doesn't appear as an application however it does appear as an icon in the top right.

Have tried to run the unistaller that came with the download and via Mac Utilities however it stays it's active and to close it first.

The problem is if you go to Force Quit it doesn't think it's running / doesn't show it's running.

Can anyone help?

You may quitthe process from Activity Monitor.

Finder > Application > Utilities > Activity Monitor.

After ending the process you may try to reinstall it.

I had this same problem, and this suggestion by sam.am solved it.

I still had the spinning wheel instead of the list of apps, but solved that by going through my Application Support folders and removing old stuff related to CS4.  After that, I'm up and running.

I'm having the same issue. Did you end up finding a solution?
