Supergimp this is an old discussion.  APFS support was added several releases ago.  Please see Release notes for the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app for current details regarding improvements implemented to the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application.

You're kidding me?!?!?! I have one system drive in my 5k iMac. How the hell am I supposed to use Adobe products like this? I seriously have to back up my entire system, reformat and reinstall the OS then restore THEN install your product?

This may be the end of a 20+ year relationship with Adobe.

Is there any way to override the default volume it is installing to? Adobe Desktop was running fine until it tried to update itself and now it won't work and can't install the update. I moved all of my non-system files and data to a new APFS volume because I was running out of room with all of my photos.

Not for Mac OS Techguru74.  The Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application needs to be installed on the same volume that contains the operating system.

This is an absolute joke!  Most macs use case-sensitive file systems by default.  With all that money, why cant you just hire decent software developers?  Its a new product right - no legacy code to deal with!

    Branching to a new discussion.

Pandx10 I am sorry but the Adobe creative applications, included with a Creative Cloud membership, do not support installation on a Case-sensitive volume.  You can find more details at Adobe error "Case-sensitive drives not supported" or similar install error | Mac OS .   You are welcome to update this discussion if you have any additional questions.

    Hi,

I've noticed that most Adobe productions are against case-sensitive FS. However, the new APFS would support only case-sensitive. Will you plan to adjust your production targets?

Haodong the release of Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application version 3.9.0.334 does include support for the APFS file systems.  You can find details regarding the recent release at Release notes for the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app.

This does not affect how Adobe applications are currently being installed.  Please continue to use a File format that is not Case sensitive.   Even with support for APFS each Adobe Creative application would need to be updated to allow installation in a Case Sensitive environment.
