Creative Cloud Installation and Update Issues (Error Code 1004)
Hi everyone,
I'm facing a persistent issue with Adobe Creative Cloud, and I’m not sure what else to try. Here’s what’s happening:
- My Creative Cloud app couldn’t update, so I decided to uninstall it.
- After uninstalling, I downloaded the Creative Cloud installer, but it won’t open.
- As a workaround, I used the Windows 8 version of the installer, which successfully installed Creative Cloud. However, when I tried to update the app, the process failed with Error Code 1004 — even though I ran the app as an administrator.
- To troubleshoot further, I did a full in-place upgrade of my PC. Unfortunately, this didn’t resolve the problem.
- I reinstalled Creative Cloud using the Windows 8 installer again. Initially, the update seemed to work, but when I restarted the app, it attempted to update again and failed with the same Error Code 1004.
I’ve tried everything I can think of, but I’m completely stuck. Has anyone encountered this issue or knows how to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
