Hi, i recently moved from Lightroom from the app store to adobe directly as the deal with photoshop is better. I got rid of lightroom from my desktop and went to download the creative cloud. I kept getting the standard error message so i uninstalled a tried again. This time, the app got to 22% and got stuck. So i got rid of everything and tried again. Now when i install the creative cloud it goes from 5% straight to 100, closes the installation tool and says it will open the creative cloud, however it doesnt and there is no creative cloud in my apps. Losing the will to live with it ive been at it hours please help

do a clean cc install carefully following each applicable step:

uninstall every cc app including preferences per https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html

then uninstall the cc desktop app, again using the correct uninstaller per https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html#sa_src=web-messaging

clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

check for, and if available, update your os

if windows is your os, repair all ms visual c++ versions that can be repaired (use google if you don't know how to do this)

if windows is your os update your ms visual c++, if it can be updated (use google if you don't know how to do this)

restart your computer (don't skip this)

reinstall the cc desktop app using the "alternative download links" at the bottom of the page at https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-app-download.html

use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials

NOTE: win 11 users that have trouble with the latest win 10 installer often have success with the older win 10 installer.

What is the "standard" error message, please? There is in fact more than one, believe it or not.

Hi originally i was getting "adobe creative cloud needed to resolve the problem is missing or damaged" So i removed anything to do with it or the install off my Mac, as well as any lightroom files from when id had it off the app store. Then i ran the install on creative cloud and it stopped at 22% and didnt move at all. So i did the same again and tried again. Now, when i download the installer, double click it, run it, it goes from 1-2% to around 5% and then to the 100%. However, it then dissapears and nothing opens up and creative cloud is nowhere to be seen in my applications
