Creative Cloud/Lightroom and Mac OS X 10.6.8

I am interested in purchasing the latest Lightroom through the Creative Cloud package; I have a Mac at home that runs the Mac OS X 10.6.8 which I am happy with. However, when I tried to purchase the package it does not allow me to do so because my OS is below the system requirements. Is there anyway to bypass that or any other suggestions?
