Creative Cloud making internet painfully slow?

Question

Hello, I just bought an iMac and went through the incredibly slow process of installing Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign (they each took a day+ to download). Things seemed fine for a day or so, but now my internet in general, and particularly trying browse fonts in CC, is painfully slow. I thought it could it be to do with files synching to cloud storage, but Ive paused that and its still dire. Can anyone please shed some light?

Creative Cloud doesn't effect my Internet performance. But non-essential background process like anti-virus scans and backups can slow things down a lot.

Who is your ISP?
Is your device connected directly to your router/modem or do you use WiFi?
