Creative Cloud must be reinstalled after every improper shutdown?

Hi everyone,

Thanks for you help! My problem is that I have a Mac running El Capitan. Every time the computer is shut down improperly (power outage, toddler pushing the off button on the power strip), Creative Cloud gives me an error message on startup. I have the option to "Repair," which inevitably freezes and the process has to be force quit. The only thing I have found to work is an uninstall/reinstall. Does anyone have any suggestions about how to avoid this, or is a reinstall the only option?

that's the least of your potential problems if you have more than rare improper shutdowns.

you need to take steps to prevent those or you're going to find your computer will eventually fail to boot.  ie, secure your power cord/strip from your toddler.  (playing with a/c items is also a potential safety issue for your child.)

if you have more than rare power outages, you need an uninterruptible power supply, Amazon.com: APC Back-UPS 650VA UPS Battery Backup & Surge Protector (BE650G): Home Audio & Theater

and you should be backing up your data so if you are unable to boot your computer, you can recover your most important files.
