Creative Cloud not installing to hard drive

Using macOS Big Sur.

The installer works perfectly and I can download apps through the Creative Cloud just fine and they remain on my computer. However, Creative Cloud itself won't install directly to my hard drive and is only accessible by opening/installing/re-installing through the installer. If I remove the installer, I can't access CC, and it does not show up as an application on my computer.
