Question

Creative Cloud not updating InDesign to CS7

I have a Creative Cloud membership, and just updated all the software, but the latest one I have (and been using all along) is InDesign CS6.

Unfortunately, the new update didn't upload InDesign CS7 (and others?). What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

Please launch creative cloud and look for Indesign CC and click Install button.

If you see Try button than sign out of creative cloud and sign in back with correct Email (Adobe ID)

you cannot "update" any cs6 product to a cc product.  cc products are "upgrades" from cs6.

anway, if you are a cc subscriber for indesign, open your cc desktop app and download/install indesign cc.  or go here and sign into your account and download/install - https://creative.adobe.com/

you can leave your cs6 apps installed and also use the cc apps.  they coexist without issue.

Thanks but when I got to your link and try to install InDesign the only button is for a Trial Version. I AM a creative cloud member and have been paying in to it for over a year. I don't understand and have no app that I can see on my iMac. I also want to have Creative Cloud on my laptop but don't know how to install on that. They never gave me a registration number for the original downloads when I first signed up. HELP!!!!

you don't have a registration or serial number for cc products.  your adobe id is used to activate trial software to fully-functioning software.

because not all cc subscriptions are the same i'm not sure you should be able to use indesign cc in non-trial mode.  you should contact adobe support to see whether you are paying for the use of indesign cc, http://www.adobe.com/support/chat/ivrchat.html
