Creative Cloud trial: Getting the spinning blue pinwheel thingy. Won't stop. Won't load.

I'm sitting here watching the creative cloud blue pinwheel spin and spin and it won't stop and won't allow me to access the programs.  Is there something wrong with the Adobe servers? (which doesn't bode well for me adopting the whole cloud thing)

Mac OS 10.9.4, MacBook Pro 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7. This. THIS is what I'm seeing:

    sign out and then back in to your cc desktop app.

    if that fails, use solution 2 here, CC desktop lists applications as "Up to Date" when not installed

    Thanks. I sort of just did that out of sheer frustration and it's working. Though, honestly, color me unimpressed with the whole thing. Might just upgrade to 6 and leave it at that.
